FAQ 003: What is Osteoporosis?

As we get older, our bodies’ don’t repair as well. With osteoporosis, we lose some of the density in our bones (the thickness and strength) because the bone breaks down more than it builds up. The weakness in the bones reaches a threshold. That is why we go and get bone mineral density scans!
